Town to continue with training partner Date: 09/05/2014

Huddersfield Town Partner Blue Apple Training will continue working with the Club to provide training to the unemployed who are looking to get back to work across West Yorkshire.

Blue Apple Training, which is based in Holmfirth has over 15 years of experience in the ‘Welfare to Work’ and recruitment industries and aims to help the unemployed back into jobs by delivering free qualifications and specialist support.

They joined forces with ‘The Yorkshire Club’ last summer to engage with the unemployed in the community and help them back to work, using the Club’s facilities – both the John Smith’s Stadium and PPG Canalside – to deliver training courses.

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis is pictured at PPG Canalside with Blue Apple’s Mike Gore and John Perrin.

Jarvis commented:

“We’re delighted that Blue Apple Training has continued its partnership with the Club.

“Over the course of the first 12 months of our partnership, we’ve come to know Mike Gore and the Blue Apple team very well and have seen first-hand some of the excellent work they do that gets unemployed people in our region back to work. I believe we share an ethos of social responsibility.

“Hopefully Blue Apple’s affiliation with Huddersfield Town can continue to raise the profile of their work.”

Blue Apple’s Mike Gore, said:

“We have loved every minute working with the Football Club and being at the Stadium creates a fantastic and exciting learning environment for anyone looking for work. Along with the help of other Town partners we have helped over 50 people in Huddersfield get back into work, which is what we love to do. Anyone attending a Blue Apple Training course will be taught how to “Stand out from the crowd” in the recruitment process by creating a professional CV, how to sell themselves in an application and at interview and many other invaluable skills to get them back into work. Along with the chance to win free match tickets and a free Town shirt. If you want to find out more, please contact Mike Gore on 0113 2456746 or request a call back at
