Huddersfield Town has teamed up with Total Dilapidations Services (TDS) to discover and highlight businesses that are making a big impact across the area.
The new partnership, announced during late November (click HERE for full information), has created a new business award scheme titled ‘Shooting Star’.
Each month Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis, alongside TDS’ Managing Director Chris Lee and Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins, will select a business that is making a difference in the area to receive the accolade.
The winner – which will be announced each month on htafccommercial.com – will then receive a special ‘Shooting Star’ trophy to commemorate their achievement for display in their workplace.
The first winner of the new ‘Shooting Star’ award will be announced next week!
Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis explained:
“One of our main remits at the football club is to ‘make the difference’ in our local area; an ethos shared by Chris Lee and the team at TDS.
“We know that many other businesses across our area share this goal, but perhaps don’t get the recognition for the hard work they put it; whether that is via corporate social responsibility work, growth in their business, securing a big contract in their industry, excellent employee relations, great customer service or any other outstanding business news that puts Huddersfield and Kirklees on the map.
“Together with our First Team Manager Mark Robins, who understands what an important role the Club has to play in its area, Chris and I will closely monitor the business media and liaise with our contacts to seek a fitting winner of the ‘Shooting Star’ award.
“We have already selected our first monthly winner and we’re looking forward to the awards gaining further momentum over the coming months and years.”
Chris Lee, Director of TDS, added:
“We are very excited about the inaugural Shooting Stars award. There is some real completion which makes the job of choosing the winner very difficult, but that can only be a positive indication of the local market.”
