Two local businesses have come together to do business thanks to their shared support for Huddersfield Town.
Huddersfield town centre based Herbert’s Bar – named after iconic former Manager Herbert Chapman – has been the player sponsor of Alex Smithies for the past two seasons and has now joined forces with Elland-based club partner Andy Thornton to celebrate its second anniversary.
Andy Thornton, located in Elland, refitted Town’s match day Heritage Suite two years ago and has now given Herbert’s Bar and Northern Taps similar treatment by supplying some of their brand new furniture.
The professional outfitters has also provided the furniture for the new ‘Rekorderlig Suite’ at Northern Taps, the sister establishment of Herbert’s Bar. This new suite, pictured above, will be accompanied by a new rooftop terrace that opens this week.
The suite is available for private hire and can be booked by calling 01484 539295.
To celebrate, Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis and Senior Commercial Manager Tracy Nelson joined Herbert’s Bar Owner Philip Barden to have a look at the fruits of the new partnership.
“It’s a goal of Huddersfield Town to become a place where companies from the region come to do business with each other and this new partnership between Andy Thornton and Herbert’s Bar shows that our objective is working.
“Club partner Andy Thornton did a great job with the Heritage Suite at the stadium and now that work has been carried on at Herbert’s Bar and Northern Taps.
“Herbert’s Bar is a relatively new business alongside the even newer Northern Taps, but they have also found a relationship and affiliation to Huddersfield Town to be beneficial to them. The new Rekorderlig Suite is very impressive and I’m sure it will be frequented by many Town fans over the coming months and years!”
