As the PGA Championship in America got underway, so did the latest Huddersfield Town Golf Day as guests showed off some excellent golf at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club.

The golfers, who arrived in executive style, tucked into a full English breakfast before heading out on to the course and competing for the trophies.

During Thursday (16 May 2019) afternoon the golfers took to the course, which has played host to 11 Open Championships, two Ryder Cup and other major competitions, and showed off their skills.

There were refreshments for the golfers during the round, which were needed in the sunshine, as the competition heated up.

The eventual winner was Joel Rushworth, the son of Neil, competing on behalf of Expect Distributions. He was closely followed by James Beattie from See It Now Sports and John Snee from Pure Business Group.

Huddersfield Town’s Advertising and Events Executive, Tom Warburton, commented:

“The Golf Day at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club was a fantastic opportunity for some of our guests to play on a prestigious course, it was great to see so many take part!

“The standard of golf and competition for the trophy was excellent and the feedback we’ve received so far has been very positive.

“Golf Days like these are an excellent way for guests to network, get to know each other and ultimately enjoy spending the day together.

“A lot of business and relationships can be formed in more relaxed settings like these and you can really see how much everyone enjoys them.”
