Huddersfield-based pharmaceutical manufacturer Thornton + Ross has extended its support of Huddersfield Town for another year in the 2016/17 season.
As part of the commercial agreement, the logo of its muscular ache and pain relief brand Radian B will appear on the First Team’s second strip once again in the coming campaign.
The deal will also see Thornton + Ross’ Covonia brand reappear on the front of the Club’s new third strip during 2016/17.
This will be an eighth year of support from Thornton + Ross, which initially became a partner of Huddersfield Town in March 2009.
The company’s support of the Club extended to the First Team’s away shirts at the beginning of Dean Hoyle’s tenure as Chairman later that year.
Formed in 1922 in Huddersfield – the year Town lifted the FA Cup – Thornton + Ross employs over 550 people.
Thornton + Ross is the largest OTC liquid & cream manufacturer in the UK and continue to invest in new production lines to stay ahead of the game.
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis and Senior Commercial Manager Tracy Nelson visited Thornton + Ross’ premises in Linthwaite to meet Director of Consumer Marketing John Chamberlin to mark the extended deal; they are pictured above.
“We’re all absolutely delighted that Thornton + Ross has renewed its commercial partnership with the Club for an eighth successive season.
“The support of major businesses in the local community is so important to us and Thornton + Ross has been a staunch supporter of the Club for a sustained period.
“We take great pride in the success of Huddersfield firms and Thornton + Ross’ growth has echoed our own since we have worked together.
“We’ll be proud to carry the Radian B and Covonia logos on our second and third shirts once again during the 2016/17 season.”
Thornton + Ross’ John Chamberlin added:
“We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Huddersfield Town for the eighth consecutive year and wish them a very successful season.
“As a locally based company, we all look forward to seeing Nahki Wells, Harry Bunn, Sean Scannell and the rest of the Huddersfield Town team scoring lots of goals whilst wearing shirts featuring our Radian B and Covonia brands in the Sky Bet Championship next season.
“Come on Town!”
