Thanks to the Annual Awards sponsors Date: 13/05/2014

Over 300 people attended Huddersfield Town’s 2014 Annual Awards Ceremony at the Cedar Court Hotel – and Commercial Director Sean Jarvis has described the event as a huge success.

The evening was sponsored for the first time by Club Partner Expect Distribution and Jarvis began by explaining how important their backing was to the awards:

“During the ‘New Era’ of Huddersfield Town under Chairman Dean Hoyle, we have made a conscious effort to turn the Annual Awards into our showpiece event – something befitting of acknowledging all the hard work that goes in on and off the field throughout the course of the year.

“This has naturally increased the cost of the ceremony as we have utilised bigger rooms, specialist audio-visual companies, bespoke video footage and full programmes for every guest, but I believe anyone who has attended one of the evenings will tell you it all comes together to great effect – the Awards are now our version of the Oscars! This year’s event was without doubt our biggest and best in recent years.

“As the main sponsor of the event, the backing from Expect Distribution has been invaluable in making this possible and I would like to thank Neil (Rushworth) and the rest of their team for their support. Many of you will have seen Expect’s articulated truck which has been liveried with our branding and that is typical of their support for the Club. We share similar principles and our relationship as partners has grown year on year.

Several of the evening’s awards were also sponsored by local companies including Orchard Group; Perrys Group; Strikes CS; KIA Longley Park; GUAH; Storeplan; Chadwick Lawrence and Louis Woollard.

Sean continued: “It was also fantastic to see so many other businesses involved in the evening. The event is for our supporters and business partners to enjoy in tandem and sponsoring an award is a great, cost-effective way of getting involved with the Club.

“There was a great feeling of togetherness in the room on the evening and I think it’s left everyone excited for what will come during the 2014/15 campaign.”
