Town legend Andy Booth will hold his first Invitational Golf Day on Thursday 22 May at Woodsome Hall Golf Club.
Guests confirmed playing on the day include former Huddersfield Town Manager Peter Jackson, who made almost 200 appearances in four season for Town before returning in 1997 for the first of his two stints as Manager of the Club, the second of which featured victory in the 2004 Play-Off Final at the Millennium Stadium.
Also confirmed for the day alongside former Town favourite Steve Kindon are the trio of Tom Cowan, Darren Bullock and Ronnie Jepson, who were all a part of the 1994/95 team that won promotion to Division One.
Club Ambassador Andy Booth is looking for teams of three to take part in his day-long event, with each team’s fourth player being someone from his extensive list of former Town players, sportsmen and other celebrities.
Boothy’s Invitational will start with breakfast from 11am at the course ahead of the 1pm, 18 hole shotgun start. After a full day of golf alongside Town legends, you’ll enjoy a two course evening meal ahead of the prize presentation.
Town legend Boothy commented:
“I’m looking forward to hosting my first golf competition at Woodsome Hall on Thursday 22 May and I hope as many people as possible can join me.
“I’d encourage golfers of all standards to think seriously about the day – we’re looking for a full range of abilities to take part. There will be plenty of prizes available on the day for a range of achievements and lots of former Town stars to meet and get to know.”
Places for the day are limited, with entry for teams priced at £450+VAT each, whereas sponsorship opportunities are also available including title sponsor and individual hole sponsorship.
