Huddersfield Town’s success in cultivating business to business relationships will play an important role in making the Club successful, sustainable and financially viable in the long-term, according to Commercial Director Sean Jarvis.
The Club has recently entered into new partnerships with the likes of Burton Safes (click HERE) and fabfootwear.co.uk (click HERE), as well as renewing long-term relationships with Thornton + Ross (click HERE), Northern Commercials (click HERE) and Stafflex (click HERE) to name just a few.
Building relationships with local and national businesses can have a big effect on the success of Town on the field, according to Sean:
“As our fans will know, our remit under Chairman Dean Hoyle is to work together to be a successful, sustainable and financially viable football club that we can all take pride in.
“The Club’s commercial activity is one of the main strategic focal points during the ‘New Era’, alongside the primary football activity; growing the Academy and our work in the community. If we are successful on all those fronts, it will result in a successful club.
“Every penny that is made through our commercial activity helps to make the Club strong on and off the field, giving us solid foundations and helping to make Huddersfield Town sustainable.
“Ahead of the 2014/15 season, I’m delighted to report that the number of businesses becoming a part of the ‘Town Family’ and working with us as partners has increased by 15%, which I believe is testament to the hard work that is going on behind the scenes.
“Not only does that improvement indicate the strength of the Club’s reputation and brand as a hub for business in the local area, but I believe it also shows that businesses are getting good return on their investment in our club; working with Huddersfield Town is improving their results.
“However, we never rest on our laurels at ‘The Yorkshire Club’ – we’re constantly looking for new businesses to work with.
“Our commercial team works to create bespoke partnerships that will benefit any business – and often the Club’s supporters. For example, we’ve recently begun working with a global firm – Red Touch Media – to create an archive of old Huddersfield Town footage that our supporters will be able to download. More locally, we’ve struck a deal with Haigh’s Farm Shop that sees their local, quality produce on sale to fans at PPG Canalside at lunch time.
