Huddersfield-based Principle Group is the latest winner of the ‘Shooting Star’ accolade, which is awarded by Huddersfield Town and Total Dilapidations Service (TDS).
Each month Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis and Commercial Manager – Partnerships John Williams, alongside TDS’ Managing Director Chris Lee and Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell, select a business that is making a difference in the area to receive the accolade.
Principle is a local business with a worldwide presence that focuses on global brand implementation.
Recently the company has invested heavily in a former Yorkshire factory for use as part of expansion to its existing headquarters and is forecasting a growth in turnover for 2014/15. As a result, it has and continues to employ new local staff to cope with the demands.
Some of its clients include BMW, Jaguar Land Rover and HSBC.
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented:
“Principle is a fantastic Huddersfield company and given it’s a worldwide interest, it hasn’t forgotten its roots with its UK Headquarters in Huddersfield
“I’m delighted to hand this month’s ‘Shooting Star’ award to such a worthy winner on behalf of the Club.”
Principle Group’s Global Board Director Victoria Woodings added:
“Principle is absolutely delighted to be selected for the ‘Shooting Star’ award from Huddersfield Town.
“2014 has been an exciting year for Principle as we have expanded our offices at Tandem Industrial Estate to include the ex-Remploy factory. This also gave us the opportunity to welcome some ex-Remploy employees to our team.
“Principle is growing on a global scale with established offices in America, China, India, Italy, Germany, Japan, Australia and South Africa and is thrilled to be able to offer members of our teams, both from the UK and overseas, the opportunity to travel and experience new cultures. Although we now work in over 60 countries we are always most proud of our roots in Huddersfield.
“It is a huge compliment for Principle to be recognised by Huddersfield Town for this award. Thank you very much; we are very flattered.”
Chris Lee from TDS said:
“The success of Huddersfield’s Principle Group is well documented. However, the news of Principle Group re-developing a redundant site adjacent to its current building and then employing people who had been made redundant from that site really caught my eye. It’s a fantastic story and one worthy of recognition. We wish them every success.”
