A photographic exhibition featuring Huddersfield Town’s commercial partners was launched at the game against Burnley on Saturday.
Club Photographer and University of Bradford photography student John Early produced an exhibition of black and white images featuring a selection of Town’s business partners as part of his final year degree studies.
The large scale images, which featured a small biography of each company, were displayed in the corporate areas of the John Smith’s Stadium against Burnley.
The Club Partners featured included Kirklees College, Orchard Group; One17 Design, Expect Distribution, Total Foodservice, Stafflex, the Pink Link Ltd, Rocar Moores and Strikes CS.
Club photographer John commented:
“The partners I spoke to were delighted to see their images displayed in such a way.
“The way that we used the John Smith’s Stadium layout meant that the images felt like they were almost coming out of the wall.
“The images raised awareness of the people who feature behind the businesses and were a real conversation starter about their businesses.
“A lot of the people showed real interest in the actual process of doing the photos. We were shooting on film with a classic camera and then printed in black and white, which gave the images a classical look and a timeless quality. The style could have been taken at any time in the last 100 years.
“We spent a lot of time making sure that the images had the correct look. It is exciting, as when they are blown up the images become even more striking.
“It was a really proud moment to see them on the walls and I’m really pleased on how the exhibition has turned out.
“I’d encourage anyone who is interested to have a look through the exhibition at the Reading game, read the biographies, and speak to the faces that feature in the exhibition about their photo-shoot experience.”
