Mark Robins at Kirklees Business Conference Date: 11/10/2013

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins will take to the stage at this year’s Kirklees Business Conference.

Town’s Manager will take part in a question and answer session to reveal how getting the best from your people is the key to success in any venture, be it sport or business.

Mark’s appearance is one of several contributions the Club is making to this year’s Kirklees Business Conference, which takes place on Wednesday 16 October at the John Smith’s Stadium. The Club’s commercial team will also be present on the day, extoling the virtues of Town’s off-the-field offering at stand 40.

The conference is the key fixture in the second Kirklees Business Week, which begins on Monday 14 October.

Danny Matharu, event director of Kirklees Business Conference, said:

“Although Mark has played under arguably the greatest living football manager in Sir Alex Ferguson, this session at KBC is not about football. It is a unique opportunity to pick his brains and discover what makes for a successful team.

“Many say that the work of a football manager mirrors that of a business owner and it is for that reason that we approached the club to see if Mark would be interested in speaking. We are honoured to welcome Mark to KBC13 and see this as a real coup to secure him. We thank Mark and the Club for agreeing to this.”

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis added:

“Huddersfield Town is very proud of its roots in Kirklees and Yorkshire and we’re proud to be a part of Kirklees Business Week.

“The event exists to encourage Kirklees businesses to work together and improve their skill-sets and I’m sure that anyone attending Mark’s question and answer session will take something away from our environment that they can apply to their business.

“The conference also gives the Club the opportunity to showcase our offer to businesses and to explain how a relationship with Huddersfield Town can benefit your company, so please make your way to stand 40 and have a chat with us!”

Spaces for delegates are still available, free of charge, and businesses wanting to submit their event to KBW should visit the website at
