Jones Pies has become the latest commercial partner at Huddersfield Town in a deal that will see its locally produced food served to fans throughout the John Smith’s Stadium.
Jones Pies was started in Huddersfield in a Butchers back in 1985 and, through word of mouth, the business grew from one to two butchers and then on to its own factory.
In 2011 Jones Pies was bought and since then has quadrupled in size, but throughout this time the Jones Pie recipes have always stayed the same, and the Jones legendary Hot Water pastry is now used across all the Pies made.
Jones Pies teams up with the best locally, using Yorkshire Millers Bradshaws, Shaws Relishes and local ales, and now is the official partner of Huddersfield Town supplying pies throughout the Stadium.
Tony Risso-Gill, Managing Director at Jones Pies, said:
“We are delighted to be an official partner of Huddersfield Town. The Club’s success is a great achievement and the team at Jones Pies are confident that the pies we make will give the home and visiting fans a fantastic addition to the experience of Premier League football at Town.
“We have five Jones Pies on the menu and they will be available at all the kiosks throughout the Stadium. We look forward to serving the best pie in Premier League!”
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis added:
“Food is a very important part of any match day experience and this deal with Jones Pies is a really important one for fans and corporate guests alike.
“Huddersfield Town always tries to work with the best that the local area has to offer and Jones Pies is just that. Having tested the pies, I believe this is a real leap forward for the Club and its fans.
“I’m really excited about giving our fans – and away supporters – a real taste of Yorkshire when they visit the John Smith’s Stadium on a match day in the Premier League season!”
