Local commercial glazing specialist Dortech Group has been recognised for its recent successes having been awarded the Huddersfield Town Shooting Stars award, in association with Lucas Lee.
First established a quarter of a century ago, the Huddersfield-based firm has been designing, manufacturing, installing and maintaining bespoke glazing solutions ever since.
They have has worked on a catalogue of projects with brands such as the NHS, Sheffield Business Park and the Victoria Mills residential complex in Shipley – to name just a few.
Dortech are forecast to almost double the turnover in its glazing maintenance division to £1million, increasing the organisation-wide total to around £10million.
The expansion – which comes as a result of a growing reputation and complex market conditions – has also kickstarted a recruitment drive and with a £200,000 investment into the team’s Huddersfield factory.
Commenting on the news of the award, Group Managing Director James Sutherland commented:
“We’re so pleased that our contribution to the local business scene has been recognised though this homegrown award scheme.
“Instead of shying away from the UK’s uncertain political and economic backdrop, we’ve taken strategic steps to ensure that our organisation continues to thrive, and it’s so rewarding to see the team’s efforts being noticed.”
The firm’s maintenance division is the fastest growing area of the company; with more projects, team members and technological investment forecast over the course of the coming year.
Chris Lee, Managing Director of Lucas Lee added:
“The set up at Dortech is fantastic and with great potential to expand as the business continues to grow.
“I wish James and all the team the best of success for the future and look forward to potentially working with them in the future.”
Sean Jarvis Commercial Director of Huddersfield Town concluded:
“What James and the team have done at Dortech is fantastic, especially in this economic climate. It was a pleasure to meet the whole team and speak to so many town fans who all speak very highly of their boss, James and the company.
