Huddersfield Town kicked off the new season on Saturday supported by Kirklees College for the fifth successive year in a row.
The two organisations have been in partnership since the 2010/11 season and this year Kirklees College is proud to once again be the Club’s official education partner.
Part of this role sees the College using its expertise in the realm of employment to help further improve the Club’s premiere business networking group – the Huddersfield Town Enterprise Academy.
The HTEA is a hub for businesses to network, create discussion and facilitate the local business community to work together more closely.
The next meeting of the HTEA will kick-off Kirklees Business Week later this year – click HERE for more info.
To celebrate five years of working together, Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis, Commercial Manager Tracy Nelson and defender Anthony Gerrard, who wears the number five shirt in the current squad, visited the College’s Huddersfield Centre.
“Our partnership with Kirklees College is thriving and it’s fantastic that we can now celebrate five years of working in close partnership.
“Like the football club, the College is a big part of the town and there is a lot of synergy in the two organisations working together; we can help to promote the College’s excellent higher education offering, whilst it’s great to see College students in attendance at our games.
“In partnership, we have also seen the HTEA grow at a fantastic rate and we’re all looking forward to kicking off Kirklees Business Week during October.”
Kirklees College Vice Principal June Durrant said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Huddersfield Town for the fifth year in a row.
“It is great to both support and be supported by such a fantastic forward-thinking, community-minded organisation.
“We have achieved so much together for the local area over the last five years and it has also greatly benefitted both the College and the Club.”
Enrolment dates for courses starting in September at Kirklees College are running throughout August. Visit www.kirkleescollege.ac.uk for details, call 01484 437070 or email email@example.com
