Huddersfield Town Football Club has teamed up with local business partner Fired Up Corporation to deliver a football coaching programme for local children in China!
The Huddersfield-based company – a long-standing commercial partner of the Club – has a large manufacturing presence in Nantou Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province in China.
The partnership sees the Club fly a number of coaches from its Academy and Community schemes to teach football skills to locals during an eight week period.
During that time, up to 200 Chinese youngsters are expected to participate in the football camp and will be taught a variety of sport based and educational skills by Town’s coaches.
For the first time in the partnership, Chinese football coaches and teachers will also be taught how to deliver these camps themselves by Town’s five UEFA qualified football coaches so the community work can continue when the eight weeks is over.
The programme is already making waves in China, as can be seen with this news report below!
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis said:
“Huddersfield Town is committed to making a difference in its community; an ethos that Fired Up shares. As such, this innovative partnership has seen us use our skills in football engagement with youngsters, combined with Fired Up’s links in China, for five years now.
“We’re proud to be making such a positive impact in the community that Fired Up works in and look forward to continuing our work in the future.”
