The key objectives are to discuss relevant issues facing football physios today, coupled with a practical session based on the discussions on the evening.

The event will be held at the Radcliffe Suite at Canalside Sports Complex on Monday 18 November 2013 from 6.55pm and is free to attend for Club physios.

Speaking on the day will be James Haycock, Head of Medical at Huddersfield Town; Ian Kirkpatrick, Assistant Physio at Huddersfield Town and Colin Hayes, Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy at University of Central Lancashire.

Town’s Head of Medical James Haycock commented:

“The medical department, in conjunction with Fit4Sport, is delighted to be able bring this educational evening to the wider sports medicine community and those working predominantly within the lower tiers of football. It will be an opportunity to look at some interesting and thought-provoking topics as well as foster discussion and potential implications for practice.

“We are also delighted to welcome Colin Hayes, who has kindly given up his time to allow some theoretical and practical sessions on the use of kinesio taping and its potential uses in football.

“We hope by sharing some of our experiences in sports medicine we will be able to encourage debate and help clinicians in their daily practice.”
