FIRST COMMERCIAL DEAL SIGNED SINCE EUROPEAN VENTURE Date: 25/03/2017

Huddersfield Town has agreed its first commercial deal since venturing into Europe after linking up with the leading international heating systems manufacturer, Viessmann.

With representation in 74 countries across the world, the German-owned Viessmann Group has joined up with the Club through Bockelkamp Sports Marketing UG.

Town began work with the German sports marketing agency in January to help promote the Club’s corporate profile across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The deal made with Viessmann is the first to come through the six month partnership with the German company who offer match day hospitality, sponsorship, advertising portfolio, commercial partnerships, events and more to businesses across the three countries on Huddersfield Town’s behalf.

Viessmann in the UK showed its support to the Club at the start of the 2016/17 season sponsoring the teamsheets for Town’s First Team, Under-23s and Under-18s sides.

As Huddersfield Town becomes a hub for local businesses, Viessmann has joined up with the Club to interact with other organisations whilst also expanding into English football.

32 Viessmann-trained heating installers from the UK and Germany, as well as the UK Managing Director, will be coming to the Terriers’ match against Fulham on 22 April 2017.

The group will play an 11-a-side game at the Club’s PPG Canalside Training Ground on the Friday before the game, watch Town’s Sky Bet Championship match in the Ray Wilson Suite before visiting the National Football Museum.

Huddersfield Town Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented:

“Following the increased interest from the media and football fans across Germany and Central Europe as a club we decided to explore into commercial ‘business to business’ opportunities.

“This deal with Viessmann shows that the Club now has a strong presence in Germany and is now recognisable on an international front.

“Businesses in Central Europe want to make moves into England and Viessmann has come through Huddersfield Town to do that, which is testament to the hard and good work the Club has done both on and off the pitch this season.”
