Over 50 people got inside the minds of local entrepreneurs at Huddersfield Town’s ‘Three Up Front’ event at PPG Canalside on Thursday 8 December.
The event, which was completely free of charge, saw Guy Davis from Bastion Estates (who sponsored the event), Andy Needham from Approved Food and Mark Young from John Walton Ltd have an honest and open discussion about business and life before giving vital tips to members of the audience.
Before Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director, Sean Jarvis, began the evening, a number of people tucked into some of the delicious homemade pie at PPG Canalside.
During the discussion, Bastion Estates’ Guy Davis, gave people tips for business and discussed how buy to let properties are a good and safe investment in the current economic climate as the interest rates are low.
Important business tips regarding cash flow were given to the audience by Andy Needham, before he discussed his appearance on Dragon’s Den and revealed that his inspiration is Dean Hoyle, who he believes put Huddersfield Town on the map!
While, Mark Young stressed the importance of cash flow, recruitment and learning from your mistakes. He spoke about his partnerships with the Club and how he has secured contracts after inviting clients into his box.
Senior Commercial Manager for Hospitality at Huddersfield Town, Tracy Nelson commented:
“The event was a complete success and the feedback we received from our guests and the audience was fantastic.
“The entrepreneurs gave the audience valuable business tips that I’m sure many people will take away and use once again in the future.
“It was great to see so many people at PPG Canalside and we are interested in running another event with some more Club Partners in the future!”
