Over 100 local businesses packed Canalside’s Radcliffe Suite on Monday evening to listen to three of the region’s star entrepreneurs.
In a first for the football club, Canalside hosted an invite-only event for business people in the region in association with Connect Gazelles titled ‘Inside The Minds Of Entrepreneurs’.
With Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis running the event, the star attraction were the three panellists. John Hall, Chairman of Volvox, Rixonway Chief Executive Paul Rose and LexisNexis founder Neil Ewin formed the three-strong panel and gave attendees a unique insight into how they have made their respective businesses a success.
Topics covered included the secrets behind their success, the economic climate in Yorkshire, their futures, tips for businesses in Huddersfield and the effect the HS2 project could have, the best decisions and investments they have made and their views on education and international markets
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented:
“It was brilliant to see Canalside packed to the rafters with business people from across Huddersfield for this unique event yesterday evening. There was a real spectrum of sectors in the audience including manufacturing, services, engineering and many more.
“The three panellists’ businesses are worth a cumulative total of well over £100 million and they gave a real insight into their success in a very open and honest two hour session. I’m sure every attendee took something away from the event that they can apply in their everyday business life.
“It was great that attendees also got to see the developments at Canalside. It looked fantastic last night and I hope we see lots of them booking their meetings and functions in the Radcliffe Suite over the coming months!”
