Dugdale Bros is the latest winner of Huddersfield Town’s Shooting Stars award in association with Lucas Lee & Partners.

Dugdale Bros was founded in 1896 at a time when Huddersfield sported 140 bespoke tailors, cloth merchants and credit drapers. Today, Dugdales is the last cloth merchant to be found in the centre of the town. Huddersfield is still recognised as being the source of the finest worsted cloth in the world and as such is regarded as the global ‘mecca’ by bespoke tailors and garment manufacturers. Dugdale Bros is proud to supply the finest tailors in Asia Pacific, America and Europe as well as some of the most renowned international fashion houses and luxury goods brands.

Robert Charnock Chairman at Dugdale Bros and Simon Glendenning (middle in the picture) Managing Director at Dugdale Bros said:

“This is a great honour and nice to be recognised as purveyors of the town`s most famous commodity.

“This will help us portray our message that not only does the world`s finest cloth come from the town but some of the finest people.

“I am lucky to have a very loyal team who desperately strive for our success.

“One of our pledges in 2018 is only to use Huddersfield companies for all our other requirements, as far as is humanly possible.

“The legacy of our industry is a courage and entrepreneurial spirit and we can all capitalise on this to crystallise our new found prominence on the world stage. Having a Premier League club is the ultimate for our great town.”

Chris Lee Managing Director at Lucas Lee & Partners commented:

“It is really great to see Dugdale Bros continue to produce the finest cloth and continue the tradition of the town that has been around for many years.
