Online grocer Approved Food has today extended its commercial partnership agreement with Huddersfield Town.
Approved Food was founded in 2008 by Dan Cluderay and is now based in a 60,000 square feet fulfilment centre in Sheffield, where it employs over 50 members of staff.
Approved Food saves shoppers up to 70% on their weekly shop by offering food nearing or past its ‘best before’ date at great value, including well-known brands at a significantly lower prices

The online grocer sells direct to savvy customers and households throughout the UK and is heavily involved in educating people on the misunderstandings around dates and food labelling, encouraging people to think before they throw #PerfectlyGood food away. Approved Food only purchases items from trusted manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers to ensure best quality for customers and delivers to over a quarter of a million registered customers internationally.

In 2014 the team dispatched more than 115,000 orders, comprising of over nine million items throughout the UK and Europe.
The business shot to fame recently, with Dan and Andy appearing on Dragons’ Den and the Virgin Media Business initiative ‘Pitch to Rich’ – and subsequently Good Morning Britain and Loose Women! Huddersfield Town’s Senior Commercial Manager Tracy Nelson commented:
